The Town of Jamestown is represented by a six-member Board of Trustees, elected for a two-year term. The Trustees are responsible for setting town policy and for creating and maintaining a balanced annual town budget. The Town Clerk is hired directly and overseen by the Board of Trustees. As a non-voting member of the Board of Trustees, the Mayor presides at all meetings, unless represented by the Mayor Pro Tem, and signs all documents on behalf of the Town.
