Jamestown Community Gardens

Gardens in full bloom

The Jamestown Community Garden Committee was formed by Resolution of the Board on April 3, 2017.   The area of the gardens encompasses two lots that were part of the federal government buyout programs and formerly included residential structures that were destroyed in the 2013 flood.  The gardens originally consisted of 10 raised beds.

With funding over the last few years from the Boulder County Sustainability Grant, the garden area was expanded to include additional raised and in-ground beds for increased food production, pathways around the garden, and a community harvest area. The expansions also have included soil amendments, irrigation, improved drainage and a new storage shed.  In addition, the committee received many volunteer labor hours and generous donations from local businesses in the area.
