Vaccination Information

Town of Jamestown                                                                                       April 7, 2021

Updated Vaccination Information

  1. Effective April 2, all persons aged 16+ may be vaccinated (16 to 18 year olds have access to the Pfizer vaccine only).

Vaccines for children 12-16 will be available late summer.  Vaccines for children under 12 will be available in 2022.

  1. Please be sure to get that second shot. On order for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to work as tested and approved you must get that second shot within the prescribed window.
  2. Please continue to wear a mask and social distance for a little while longer. A lot more vaccine is on the way.  Currently there is a lot of demand for vaccine and initially it may be difficult to get appointments.  Be persistent.  Most everyone who wants the vaccines will be vaccinated by early May.

How much will it cost?

It will be free. The cost will not be an obstacle to getting the vaccine. Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance are required to cover the cost of the COVID-19 vaccines. In addition, uninsured Coloradans will have access to free vaccines.

More importantly, a vaccine provider may not turn you away for the vaccine because of an inability to pay or your medical coverage status. “
